Anarchism
Anarchism is a political and social ideology advocating for a society without hierarchical authority, centralized governance, or coercive institutions. It emphasizes voluntary cooperation, mutual aid, and self-governance, aiming to create egalitarian systems free from oppression and exploitation. Sociologically, anarchism critiques existing power structures, such as the state, capitalism, and patriarchy, for perpetuating inequality and domination. Anarchism has influenced various social movements, including labor rights, environmental activism, and anti-globalization efforts. While often associated with radicalism, anarchism encompasses diverse perspectives ranging from collectivist to individualist traditions. Sociologists study anarchism to explore alternative models of social organization and their challenges in achieving widespread acceptance.
